Sit upright, chin slightly tucked in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Put one hand on your belly and one on your chest. Breathe into your belly and try to have your chest move only slightly, if at all.
Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 2, and breathe out for 4.
In for 4, hold for 2, out for 4.
Breathe in possibility, hold, breathe out pain.
Breathe in possibility, hold, breathe out pain.
Breathe in possibility, hold, breathe out pain.
Breathe in what’s possible, hold, breathe out what hurts.
Breathe in what’s possible, hold, breathe out what hurts.

Now, bring your hands up to your temples. Envision projecting your consciousness into the space between your hands. Lower your hands and face your palms upward, on your lap.
Imagine your memories in the palms of your hands. Envision water flowing and washing away the pain. Imagine this water shining those good memories: the place and people for whom you are most grateful. Remember that joy and picture that joy shining bright and radiation from the palms of your hands. Thank those memories for existing and staying with you.
Move your hands back up to your temples and place your consciousness back in your head.
Lower your hands to a comfortable position.
Repeat these affirmations:
I honor my past.
I am whole and complete.
I move forward with all of myself.
Envision the person you need to be to move forward. Call upon your strength to become this person. The strength you need exists within you.
Think of one thing you will do for yourself today and one thing you will do for someone else.
When you are ready open your eyes.
